GRAHAMSVILLE, NY — No time is a good time to lose, and in the homecoming game, it really stings.
But at the end of the match on Thursday, October 24, the home team Lady Bears of Tri-Valley shook it off in grand style, as they celebrated with their teammates, parents, fans and coaching staff.

It was a mixture of smiles and tears, a perfect way to celebrate the senior booters at their final match on their home turf.

A brief summary of the stats: shots (TV 22, SW 23), shots on goal (TV 14, SW 18), corner kicks (TV 3, SW 2), goalie saves (TV Heather Winters 3, SW Riley Ernst 1).

In the first frame, the Lady Bulldogs took a 2-0 lead: Jessica Schwalb scored on an assist from Arieon Frazier (04:17), and Maggie Russell scored, assisted by Frazier (11:59).

In the second half, Sullivan West’s Sofia Seidl scored on an assist by Laura Smith (24:31), and at 28:36 Tri-Valley got on the scoreboard with a goal by Rebecca Musa, assisted by Victoria Swett.

After the game, the players were recognized and the seniors honored during the annual homecoming recognition rite of passage.

Tri-Valley’s 2019 senior booters: Samantha Houghtaling, defender/sweeper (four varsity seasons, tri-captain, will represent the Lady Bears in the exceptional senior game on Sunday, November 10 at Newburgh Free Academy), Jordan Carmody, forward (four seasons varsity, tri-captain), Victoria Swett, midfielder/defender (tri-captain, will represent Tri-Valley at NFA on November 10), Heather Winters, goalie (2 seasons varsity), Lexie Kloss, defender (4 years varsity), Reagan Allison, defender (1 season varsity), Reanna McGregor, forward (injured as a junior, only to sustain another knee injury in match against Livingston Manor).
