Sullivan County presents a new look at its parks

HURLEYVILLE, NY — The Sullivan County Parks and Recreation department has unveiled an exhibition showcasing photographs taken of the landscapes and wildlife at the county’s parks and museum.

Featuring the work of local photographers, the new exhibition is on display at the Sullivan County Museum, 265 Main St., and admission is free. The museum is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and the exhibition will be on display throughout the summer.

A selection of photos from this exhibition are also on display in the lobby of the Government Center, 100 North St., Monticello.

“In late 2024, we accepted submissions from the public of photographs taken at our parks and museums. We had a team of judges go through the submissions and choose 24 photos to be on display,” said Fiona Feltman, assistant recreation director, who conceived and implemented the exhibition. “Thank you to everyone who submitted photographs. Your submissions offered a unique perspective on the beauty of our parks that make our county so special. We congratulate the photographers whose work was chosen and thank you for allowing us to see our beloved spaces through your eyes.”
