SWAN LAKE, NY — A man and a woman from Walden, NY were charged Thursday for the murder of two Swan Lake residents.

Police say that 37-year-old Chasity Cutway and 32-year-old David Host allegedly killed Glenn Travis, 41, and Derek Travis, 18, at their home on Wednesday night. Derek Travis has been identified as a Sullivan County BOCES student; the Monticello Central School District posted a statement on its website.

We are devastated to learn of the death of Derek Travis, an 18-year-old Monticello Central School District, and Sullivan County BOCES student. We join Derek’s family, friends, the BOCES community, our staff members, and all who loved and knew him in mourning this monumental loss,” the post reads.

Cutway and Host were arraigned in the Town of Bethel Court and face felony charges of first-degree murder and first-degree felony.

According to reports, Host has a history of felony convictions and misdemeanors and has been sentenced to time in prison on multiple occasions.

State police were assisted in the double-murder investigation by the county’s District Attorney’s office, sheriff’s office, and the Village of Walden Police Department.
