CALLICOON, NY – The Callicoon Business Association, in coordination with Callicoon Depot Inc. and the Upper Delaware Scenic Byway, has issued a request for proposal to obtain architectural design services for the Callicoon Train Depot Visitor Center Project.

The Callicoon Depot is the center of an adaptive reuse project: The Callicoon Train Depot Visitor Center Project. This community initiative will transform the site into a community space for cultural, artistic and educational programming and will serve as the main visitor center for the Upper Delaware Scenic Byway, which encompasses the New York State Route 97 corridor from Port Jervis to Hancock and receives over 280,000 visitors per year.

The request for proposal seeks architectural services to produce a set of construction documents to be used by a selected contractor for construction. These documents include design, development and construction documents for the multi-phase development of the existing building and site and presentation documents to be used by government agencies, the public, client and collaborating agencies.

New York State licensed architects are asked to declare their interest no later than January 24 by contacting Nancy Anderson at allaboard@thecallicoondepot.org. A copy of the RFP can be found at www.tinyurl.com/43at8sf8.

Qualified firms will be provided with full documentation and will have until March 7 to submit proposals for consideration.
