Pike County sentencing information

Pike County District Attorney Raymond J. Tonkin announced the following criminal sentences were issued by Pike County Court of Common Pleas President Judge Gregory Chelak:

Nicholas Bradley Zoeller, age 29, of Stroudsburg, PA, was sentenced to 149 days to 23 months in the Pike County Jail and fined $300.00 for the crime of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.  Zoeller was responsible for the supervision of a five year old child on July 18, 2019, while at various locations in Lehman Township and while being under the influence of drugs.  Zoeller became disoriented and the child was lost while under his care, the child was located and uninjured.

Kevin M. Lemma, age 29, of Holbrook, NY, was sentenced to 1 year to 3 years in a state correctional facility, to run concurrent to his New York sentence, and fined $1,500.00 for the 3 counts of the crime of Burglary.  In September of 2013, Lemma entered 3 residences in Lackawaxen Township, without the permission of the property owners, taking items valued in excess of $2,000.00 and causing damage to the residences in excess  of $1,000.00.

Sherry Desmond, age 41, of Shohola, PA, was sentenced to 12 months of probation and fined $500.00 for the crime of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.  Between May of 2018 and July of 2018, Desmond allowed a black bear to repeatedly enter her residence in Dingman Township while her minor child was present. Desmond and her codefendant, would feed and interact with the bear putting the minor at risk of serious bodily injury or death.

Francheska Marie Santiago, age 25, of Jersey City, NJ, was sentenced to 6 months of probation and fined $300.00 for the crime of Disorderly Conduct.  Santiago engaged in a physical altercation with an individual at a retail store parking lot in Westfall Township on August 13, 2019. 

Steve M. Height, age 36, of Mill Rift, PA, was sentenced to 6 months of probation and fined $300.00 for the crime of Possession of a Firearm or Other Dangerous Weapon in a Court Facility.  Height attempted to gain entrance into the Pike County Administration Building while in possession of brass knuckles on October 9, 2019.
