DINGMAN TOWNSHIP, PA — The Pike County Conservation District (PCCD) recently received the Governor’s Award for Environmental Excellence from the PA Department of Environmental Protection in recognition of the Dingman Township Park Pollinator Gardens project.
This project is one of 22 being recognized with the award this year. The PCCD’s district manager Tara Mlodzienski and program manager Ellen Enslin received the award at the PA Environmental Council awards dinner in Harrisburg on April 30.
“We couldn’t have done this project without our partners at Penn State Master Gardeners, Dingman Township and McLane Associates,” said a statement from the district. “The pollinator gardens at the Dingman Township Park are open to the public, and we encourage everyone to stop by and enjoy the flowers and pollinators—see what all the buzz is about!”
