Our “Buddy,” Camber

Posted

You traveled a long way from Georgia to be our buddy back in 2012 and we are so grateful you did. They thought you were a Labrador-mix but we came to find out years later you were really a Catahoula in disguise! Who knew?

Mommy loved to sing songs to you, including a revised version of “Soft Kitty” modified just for you. Daddy loved to take you for runs next to the quad or on trail rides. And oh, how you loved to sit on the hill and look for deer even though you got sticky from the pine sap. And walks, walks and more walks! You loved them! You couldn’t get enough of them!

We’ll never forget the first day you were home; you gobbled down your food thinking someone would take it away from you. But you soon realized this was a loving, easy-going home and you could relax. You loved your cookies! We hoped you would grow up to be a therapy dog, but really, you were a dog who needed therapy! Noises were not your thing, but that was okay. We loved you just the same for almost nine years.

You left us way too soon, Buddy. Mommy and Daddy miss you everyday. You’ll always be a part of us.

See you again at Rainbow Bridge.

Always remember:
soft puppy, warm puppy,
little ball of fur
happy puppy, sleepy puppy
we call him Camber.
