The family of Shirley A. Cooper of Hortonville, NY, is saddened to announce her passing on November 5, 2021 at the age of 77. She was born July 31, 1944 in Warwick, NY, the daughter of the late George Benson Romer and the late Audrey Irene Wilson Romer.

As a mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister-in-law and friend, she will always be remembered for her:

Love of family. Love of Bingo, just like her mother. She loved watching NASCAR races with her great-grandson Tyler.

And her hospitality. Shirley was always ready with a pot of coffee and a hug. Some hobbies were crocheting and putting together jigsaw puzzles, a big family favorite.

A little piece of Shirley will be with all that knew her and loved her. Shirley enjoyed collecting angels and now she will be a special ANGEL to watch over family and friends day by day until we can all meet again.

May she rest in peace.

Shirley will be lovingly remembered by family:

Her sons: Walter Hendershot Jr. and his wife Micka, Paul Hendershot and his wife Natalie.

Her daughters: Tina Hendershot and Vickie Cudney and her husband Richard as well as many loved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Her brothers: Charles Romer and his wife Christine, Russell Romer and his wife Kelly, Edsell Romer and his wife Julia and Jessie Romer.

Her sisters: Trudy Baez and her husband Milford, Keturah Romer and her significant other Charles Perry.

Her sisters-in-law: Patricia Romer and Laurie Romer and many loved nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her brothers Allen Romer, George Romer, Doug Romer and Donald Romer and her sisters Irene Blair and Hilda McGraw

A celebration of Shirley’s life will be held at the Hortonville Firehouse, 100 Main St. in Hortonville on November 20 at 1 p.m.
