Obituary: Richard R.B. Miller

Richard R.B. Miller, 70, of Beach Lake, PA, passed away Wednesday evening at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale, PA, following an illness.

Born in Honesdale, he was the son of the late Clinton “Sonny” B. and Jane Blackmore-Miller. He was a graduate of Damascus High School. Throughout his career, he was employed by Camp Sky Crest, Ed Brennan, Fawn Lake Forest and Worth Bat Factory.

Richard loved hunting, fishing and spending time at the river. He was a former Member of the Welcome Lake Fire Company and Central Fire Company

Surviving are his daughter Nancy M. Miller of Lake Ariel, PA; sons Richard R. Miller Jr. and his wife Angela, of Beach Lake; Robert C. Miller of Beach Lake and Douglas M. Miller of Beach Lake; sisters Shelley Corey and her husband Keith of Cherry Ridge and Mary Thomas of Prompton, PA; grandchildren Ella, Curtis, Kevin, Dija Lee, Gavin, Cole, Kotia and Lucius; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his Mother, Jane L Blackmore Miller; his Father, Clinton (Sonny) Miller; a brother, Walter C. Miller; and his former wife, Dianne Reiser-Miller.

Private cremation took place at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel.

A Celebration of Life will be held on March 5 at 1 p.m. in the Beach Lake Fire Hall, 1033 Beach Lake Hwy, in Beach Lake, with services by Rev. Ken Platt, Pastor of the Wallenpaupack Church.

Arrangements have been entrusted to and are under the care and direction of James Wilson Funeral Home, Lake Ariel.
