Kathleen “Kathy” Mohrmann, 77, of Harleysville, PA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 10, 2022. She was the beloved wife of Douglas Mohrmann. They celebrated 58 years of marriage in February.

Obituary: Kathleen ‘Kathy’ Mohrmann

Kathleen “Kathy” Mohrmann, 77, of Harleysville, PA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 10, 2022. She was the beloved wife of Douglas Mohrmann. They celebrated 58 years of marriage in February. 

Kathy was born in Beach Lake, PA, and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Joyce (Rosencranse) Shields. She was a graduate of Honesdale High School, class of 1963. Kathy worked as a Manager for GE Credit Union, then as a Receptionist for Lockheed Martin, and then for the SI Company, from which she retired. She was a member of LCBC Church (Lives Changed by Christ) in Harleysville.

Kathy loved spending time with her family, extended family and many friends. She helped organize a couple of Mohrmann family reunions. She loved baking and crocheting, and enjoyed gardening. If anyone was in need, she was there to help.

Along with her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Victoria Lehotta; her son, Douglas R. Mohrmann and his wife Elisa; her four grandchildren Jacob Lehotta and his wife Ashley of Pennsburg, Heather Corkadel and her husband Brandon of Harleysville, and Douglas A. and Aaron Mohrmann of Harleysville; and her great-grandson, Jaxson Corkadel. She is also survived by her siblings Vera Shields, Patricia Gregorski, Frances Smith and Joseph Shields; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings Raymond Shields, Margaret Hamlyn, and Anna Gregorski; and her son-in-law, George Lehotta.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 3 at 10 a.m. at LCBC Church, 100 Main St. in Harleysville, with a fellowship time after the service. A springtime burial and celebration of life will be held in Beach Lake
