New doings around the community

Hope you enjoyed your Memorial Day weekend! Whether you spent it with family, enjoyed some quiet moments of reflection, or took advantage of the beautiful weather outdoors, the long weekend always seems to whisk by in a blur of relaxation and festivities. As we bid farewell to the unofficial start of summer, it's a perfect time to reflect on the significance of Memorial Day itself, honoring those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country while savoring the moments that bring us together.

Here are some events happening in our communities and beyond:

JURNI added a licensed esthetician to their service offerings. Her name is Kayla Graham. This is an amazing addition to their gym and circuit rooms, open barre classes and Hair by Janayna. Check out all their services on www.jurnihealing.com

The Cochecton Volunteer EMS is looking for part-time residents who want to help their community. Whether you want to drive, support the team or become an EMT, they will provide training, support and a crew that feels like family. No experience needed. Training is free. Flexible roles to match your schedule. Learn more at  https://tinyurl.com/cvacapplication.

Lakeview Bar is having an Ultra Dance Night on Saturday, May 31, 2025, beginning at 8 PM. ‘80s, '90s and 2000s music, 21 and older with a $10 entry fee. See you there!

Be sure to check out the Sullivan West Central School District website for all end-of-year events. You can find Spring Concert information, Regents schedules, Sports Awards and more on the calendar section of the website.

There will be a FREE Rabies Clinic for dogs, cats and ferrets on Wednesday, June 18 from 6:00 – 7:30 PM at the Town of Fallsburg, Morningside Park Pavillion. 630 Brickman Road, Hurleyville, NY. For more information contact the Sullivan County Department of Public Health at 845/292-5910.
