‘Neighbors Deliver’ community group to assist those in need

SULLIVAN COUNTY, NY — Neighbors Deliver is a group of community volunteers helping to bring necessities to doorsteps of homebound people in the Callicoon-Fremont-Jeffersonville-Narrowsburg area.

Volunteers will shop at Peck’s for necessary items and return your payment to the store, as the store cannot accept credit card information over the phone. They will deliver mail and (after recipients grant permission to their pharmacy) medications

CFOS launch COVID-19 response fund for nonprofits

ORANGE AND SULLIVAN COUNTIES, NY — The Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan (CFOS) is launching the Orange and Sullivan COVID-19 Response Fund to address the immediate and longer-term needs of residents in Orange and Sullivan counties.

This fund will distribute grants of up to $5,000 each to established nonprofit organizations that provide front-line services to the counties’ most vulnerable populations, food for needy families and essentials, such as prescription drug deliveries to homebound senior citizens and people with compromised immune systems.

Donations at any level are currently being accepted at www.cfosny.org. All donations to the fund will stay within Orange and Sullivan counties. Nonprofit organizations providing response services to Orange and Sullivan residents during this pandemic are encouraged to apply for grants at www.cfosny.org.
