Molinaro endorsed by Delaware County Sheriff

Delaware County Sheriff Craig DuMond endorsed Congressman Marc Molinaro in his reelection in New York’s 19th Congressional District.

In Congress, Marc Molinaro has proudly supported law enforcement and fought to strengthen public safety. He’s supported legislation to combat Albany’s bail reform and close the border, and has delivered federal resources for local law enforcement.

Sheriff DuMond said, “Last year, tragedy struck Delaware County. An illegal immigrant who was arrested for DWI and released because of bail reform traveled to our community and went on to rape and strangle a young woman. Marc Molinaro has been at the forefront of fixing this mess. He’s fought back against bail reform, fought to close our border, and is fighting to deliver law enforcement the resources and support they need. Marc Molinaro has my full endorsement.”

“I’m so thankful to Sheriff DuMond for his support,” said Molinaro. “I’m unapologetic about where I stand. I’m pro-police, anti-bail reform and fully supportive of closing our border. My opponent, Josh Riley, got us into the mess we’re in. He fought in D.C. for open borders and is backed by a radical group that advocates for defunding the police and Albany’s bail reform law. That’s the choice this November.”

Molinaro was elected in November 2022 to represent New York’s 19th Congressional District. The new district includes Broome, Chenango, Columbia, Delaware, Greene, Otsego, Sullivan and Tompkins counties as well as part of Cortland, Rensselaer and Ulster counties.
