May is here, and the weather is finally warming up! The sun is shining, the days are getting longer, and everything around us is starting to bloom. It’s the perfect time to get outside and enjoy the fresh air. Whether you're hanging out in the boat park, taking a walk around the lake or just relaxing in your backyard, May is the month that feels like the start of something great.

Here are some events happening in our communities and beyond:

The Cochecton Volunteer EMS is looking for part-time residents who want to help their community. Whether you want to drive, support the team, or become an EMT—we’ll provide training, support, and a crew that feels like family. No experience needed. Training is free. Lakeview Bar is having an Ultra Dance Night on Saturday, May 31, 2025, beginning at 8 PM. 80s, 90s and 2000s music, 21 and older with a $10 entry fee. See you there! 

There will be a Penny Social on May 10, 2025 at the Lake Huntington Presbyterian Church. Doors open at 11:30 and calling at 12:30. Beverages and hot dogs and sauerkraut plus chips. Coffee and cake will be served after the calling. Sponsored by the Ladies Aid Society. See you there!

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Narrowsburg is having a chicken BBQ on Saturday May 10, 2025.
Ticket price is $15 each. The meal includes a half chicken, baked potato, cranberry sauce, Cole slaw, roll and cookie. Pick up is from 4:30 to 6:00 pm at the church. Call Pat Hawker at 845-252-3553 for tickets.

The Delaware Youth Center is holding a Spring Garden and Craft Fair on May 31, 2025 and they are calling for Vendors! Space reservations are accepted on a first come, first serve basis. If you have any questions, have a look at their website or email events@delawareyouthcenter.org
