Ingredients

• 1 cup + 1 tablespoon flour
• 1 cup sugar
• 1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
• 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
• 1 egg yolk
• Pinch of salt
• 1/2 cup cocoa powder
• 3 1/2 tablespoons milk
• Valentine-colored sprinkles
• Hershey's Hug candies or Hershey's Kisses

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
2. Cream together the butter and sugar in a mixing bowl until smooth and fluffy.
3. Add the egg yolk, milk, and vanilla extract to the butter-sugar mixture. Beat until well combined.
4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt until evenly mixed.
5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, beating on high speed until a thick dough forms.
6. Roll tablespoon-sized portions of dough into balls. Flatten each ball slightly and press into Valentine-colored sprinkles.
7. Place the coated dough balls onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
8. Bake for 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the edges are set.
9. Remove from the oven and immediately press an unwrapped Hershey's Hug candy into the center of each cookie.
10. Transfer the cookies to a cooling rack or place them in the fridge for a few minutes to set the Hershey's Hug.
11. Once cooled, serve these delightful cookies immediately or store them in an airtight container for later enjoyment.
