HONESDALE, PA — Once again, trees outside Wayne Memorial Hospital will be lit up to honor and remember loved ones during the holiday season. The hospital auxiliary’s annual Love Lites program, a fundraising tradition since 1991, will take place Monday, December 2 at 6 p.m. at the hospital.
The ceremony will include holiday music, a blessing and refreshments. Afterward, a Memory Book will be displayed in the hospital lobby and on the hospital website listing all the names of those honored or remembered.
To participate, download a coupon from www.wmh.org, fill it out and send $5 for each name “in honor of” or “in memory of” to the address on the coupon. The deadline to submit names is Friday, November 29.
“This is a really nice event,” said Joyce Malicky of the Love Lites committee. “It lights up trees and hearts at the same time.”
