SULLIVAN COUNTY, NY — Sullivan County Museum Weekend will be held on Saturday and Sunday, July 27 and 28. Nine museums across the county are joining together to offer an open invitation (and free admission!) for all Sullivan County residents to go out and explore their county’s long and rich history.
There is something for everyone of all ages to explore, from Native American history to early settlers, fly fishing, the D&H Canal, the Boy Scouts, NYC’s water system, polar exploration and so much more.
Museums are offering free admission (except for Fort Delaware), special events, shop discounts, tours, giveaways, prizes and lots more for all Sullivan County residents.
"This collaboration provides a wonderful opportunity for residents to engage with their county’s diverse and fascinating history," said Donna Steffens, director of the Time & the Valleys Museum. "All the museums are excited to introduce their museums to local residents and share their unique Sullivan County stories."
