You cannot make this stuff up, my oldest brother Johnny has the coronavirus and pneumonia and fluid on his lungs. He works for the United States Post Office overseas mail at Kennedy Airport. April the 8th was his 65th birthday, his wife said you do not look good he said I do not feel good. His wife took him to the Dr., the Dr. said you have pneumonia and fluid on your lungs, and tested him.

They told him 48 hours and they would have the results. They called him the next morning and he has it.
Today is Easter Sunday as my brother Teddy and I were eating dinner, Johnny called us and said he can sit up and eat, he is drinking lots of fluids and coughing up the phlegm. Johnny said he sleeps about 20 hours a day and he feels a little better. My brother Christopher is doing much better still coughing and sleeps a lot. Both brothers never went into the hospital. Yes I have 3 brothers and a very depressed sister. She had tickets to go see Paul McCartney in Europe, all 5 concerts are canceled.

My sister and I canceled our trip to Ireland with my two cousins from England. I would much rather stay home and be safe.

I have mentioned this before The Lake Huntington NY page on Facebook hosted by Paul Genco has some very cool stuff on it. Did you know Lake Huntington back in the 1960s had a Jamaican Resort called the Villa Theresa on the south end of the lake? They played the steel drums. The pictures are from the Harold Maas collection. Gary Maas said not his father but a distanced cousin. You should really check this page out.
Tax season has come to an end. I closed the tax books out on Friday, so if you have any questions or need tax info, please check out www.taxlookup.net. If you have a question for me email me at taxcollector@townofcochectonny.org or call the county at (845) 807-0200, they are working on a moderated schedule due to the coronavirus.

I would personally like to thank everyone who is out there keeping our community going. The truck drivers, ladies in all the banks, people working in the grocery stores, garbage men, everyone at the school that make sure the kids have work to do and lunch. The businesses that are staying open doing take out only. Most of all I want to thank the Dr's, nurses, aids and cleaning people in the hospital that put their life in danger every day for us. May God watch over you and keep you safe.

Please keep the family of Robert Nearing and Gary Cochrane in your thoughts and prayers, both have passed away.

Keep smiling and have a great week and you can e-mail me at leeniebeans
@citlink.net or call (845) 252-3568 if you have any news.
