ELDRED, NY — The home-team softball swatters of Eldred maintained their undefeated winning streak on Tuesday, May 18 as they put the kibosh on the visiting Lady Bulldogs of Sullivan West 15-0.

Dana Donnelly, the Lady Yellow Jackets junior pitcher, delivered a two-hitter and whiffed nine opposing batters as she piloted her team to a 7-0 record, while Sullivan West posted a 0-5 record at the end of the game.

Eldred’s catcher Lily Gonzalez proved she was rather adept at the plate, going four-for-four with a double and three singles. Donnelly poked three singles and scored four runs. Mackenzie Simonsen crossed the plate three times.

The Lady Yellowjackets scored one in the first inning, came up empty in the second, scored two in the third, three in the fourth, five in the fifth and four in the sixth and final frame.

Sullivan West’s Riley Ernst got tagged for the loss, while teammates Nicole Reeves and Bella Duboise recorded singles.
