HONESDALE, PA — National Pharmacy Week was held October 20-26. It was a time to recognize the powerful impact the pharmacy department has on patients at Wayne Memorial Hospital (WMH).
The third full week of October shone a spotlight on the essential contributions that hospital and health-system pharmacists make as part of the patient care team.
The hospital’s pharmacists use their knowledge and expertise on the selection, administration and management of safe and effective medications to improve patient outcomes.
“We have a great team in the pharmacy,” said assistant pharmacy manager Courtney Farrell. “We work together to provide the best patient care. Most of our patients in the hospital require something from pharmacy, so we keep very busy. I’m proud to be a part of this team.”
