BEACH LAKE, PA — Ever wonder what animals live in the woods around us? Now’s your chance to learn at “Boundin’ Furbearers,” a program for families to be held at the Van Scott Nature Reserves on Friday, December 13 at 1 p.m. It’s sponsored by the Delaware Highlands Conservancy (DHC).
There are plenty of interesting things to learn about these animals. Did you know that grey foxes are the only members of the canine family that can climb trees? Do opossums really play dead? What is a fisher?
Space is limited and prior registration is requested at the link below. The event fee is $5 for conservancy members or $10 for non-members; kids under 12 are admitted for free. This program is intended for families; children must be accompanied by an adult to attend.
The Van Scott Nature Reserve is located at 571 Perkins Pond Rd.
To learn more and to register, visit www.DelawareHighlands.org/events or call Rachel Morrow at 570/226-3164 ext. 2.
