Job fair by the lake

HAWLEY, PA The Pike County Workforce Development Agency announced it will hold its first fall Working Pike job fair on Tuesday, September 20, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Waterfront at Silver Birches, 205 Rte. 507.

More than 40 employers are expected to attend. Opportunities range from entry-level to managerial jobs in a variety of industries, including healthcare, hospitality, financial, manufacturing, warehouse, law enforcement, corrections, recreation, sales and more.

There is no fee for job seekers, and no RSVP is necessary. Come dressed to impress and bring your resume. If you require help with creating or updating your resume, or if you require professional interview attire, contact Working Pike at 570/296-2909.

The Pike County Workforce Development Agency has been hosting job fairs in Pike County for 25 years. However, this is the first fall event. 

Working Pike is a collaboration of county government, faith-based groups and private organizations. Its mission is to build a stronger community through this partnership.

The sponsors for the Job Fair by the Lake include Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau, Lackawanna College Lake Region Center, Bold Gold Media and Silver Birches.

Employers, there are still tables available! If you are seeking employees, complete a registration form. Digital and printable versions are available on the Workforce Development webpage at www.pikepa.org/workforce. Tables cost $55.
