No ducks barred in July race

They are at it once again. ”Speedy McSplash” and “Waddles the Wanderer” cannot keep their rivalry from spilling over into yet another Duck Race Event.

The quacks and not-so-nice “duckgestions” are flying, so to speak, and each claims that victory will be theirs. They seem to forget that they are not the only ducks in the race!

For the past two years, these two quackers have been hard at work promoting their own athletic “duckabilities.”  They tell you they are faster than the water that flows, more agile than a trout jumping for a fly, speedier than a hummingbird after some nectar.  They have been so busy arguing, even during the Race, that neither one of them has come out the winner.

Quacker Jack, Pluckie Duckie, Princess Preener, Beaklejuice and all the other racers can’t help but beat these two squabblers.

Maybe this year will be different.  Come and witness the rivalry firsthand. The showdown takes place on Saturday, July 12 at 11 a.m. at Morningside Park.
