DINGMANS FERRY, PA — All are invited to this weekend’s events at the Pocono Environmental Education Center (PEEC).

First up, on Saturday, November 23 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, is an introduction to orienteering. Come learn how to use a map and compass on PEEC’s orienteering course. They’ll show you the basics before you try to find all the points. Space is limited, so call the number below to register.

The cost is $5 per person.

Then from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., PEEC will host a Bird Bonanza. Spend the morning watching the feeders and putting together your own custom bird feeder from a variety of recycled materials just in time for winter. PEEC will provide materials, but you can also bring your own supplies. Call to register.

The cost is $5 per person.

On Sunday, November 24 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, PEEC will hold an animal tracking program. Animals leave behind clues that provide glimpses into their lives. Explore PEEC’s grounds for tracks, trails, scat, territory marks, chew marks and other signs animals leave as they travel through the fields and forests of the Poconos. Call to register.

The cost is $5 per person.

PEEC is located at 538 Emery Rd.

To register or learn more, call 570/828-2319. Information is also available at www.peec.org
