MILFORD, PA — Pike County District Attorney Raymond J. Tonkin announced the following criminal sentences were issued by Pike County Court of Common Pleas President Judge Gregory Chelak:

Melody Joan Richards, age 30, of Greentown, PA, was sentenced to 5 years less 30 days of Probation with Restrictive Conditions which will include 30 days in the Pike County Jail, 90 days of house arrest, a fine of $3,000 and driver’s license suspension of 18 months for the crimes of Driving Under the Influence and Endangering the Welfare of Children.  The state police were dispatched to a business parking lot in Palmyra Township where Richards had sought the help of two strangers due to the fact she was experiencing an illness after smoking Marihuana.  Richards had a one-year-old child in her vehicle.   

Jessica Jane Phillips, age 33, of Hawley, PA, was sentenced to 11 ½ months to 23 months in the Pike County Jail and a fine of $500 for the crime of Criminal Conspiracy to Commit Delivery of a Controlled or Counterfeit Substance.  Through the use of a cell phone, Phillips arranged for the sale and delivery of Heroin, Fentanyl and Cocaine between August and January of 2018 at various locations in Pike and Wayne counties.  

Jesse R. Cole, age 31, of Port Jervis, NY, was sentenced to 1 year of probation and a fine of $500 for the crime of Open Lewdness.  Cole exposed his genitals to an individual at the fitting room of a retail business in Westfall Township on January 29, 2021.

Edward Charles Barto, age 51, of Paupack, PA, was sentenced to 12 months of probation and a fine of $300 for the crime of Simple Assault.  The state police were dispatched to a disturbance at a residence in Palmyra Township on October 27, 2021, where Barto negligently discharged a firearm in close proximity of 2 individuals, placing the individuals at risk of death or injury.

Joseph Louis Stellato-Reilly, age 28, of Dingmans Ferry, PA, was sentenced to 6 months of probation and a fine of $500 for the crime of Use/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Stellato-Reilly was found in possession of a Suboxone strip between October 12, 2018, and October 20, 2018, while incarcerated at the Pike County Jail.

Ashley Corenia Smedley, age 27, of Chadbourn. NC, was sentenced to 6 months of probation and fined $300 for the crime of Retail Theft.  Smedley took merchandise totaling $66.79 from a retail store in Westfall Township on January 5, 2020, without paying full value for it.

Matthew James Dazi, age 24, of Lake Huntington, NY, was sentenced to 364 days to 729 days in the Pike County Jail, followed by 1 year of probation and a fine of $800 for the crimes of Simple Assault and Possession of a Controlled Substance.  The state police responded to a residence in Milford on September 20, 2021, where Dazi struck an individual in the face with a crowbar causing injury.  Dazi was also found in possession of Marihuana. 

Vitor Manuel Castanheira, age 49, of Bushkill, PA, was sentenced to 12 months of probation and a fine of $500 for the crime of Tampering with Records/Identification to Deceive.  The state police were dispatched to a residence in Lehman Township for a neighbor dispute on August 30, 2021, where shots were reported fired by Castanheira.  The shotgun found in possession of Castanheira had an obliterated serial number.

Kristina Zacha-Lee Vigo, age 30, of Newfoundland, PA, was sentenced to 6 months of probation and fined $300 for the crime of Possession of a Controlled Substance.  During a visit by Children & Youth at Vigo’s residence in Greene Township, Marihuana plants were observed.  Following an investigation by the Pike County Detectives, it was confirmed that Vigo was in possession of Marihuana on March 29, 2021. 

Robert McWilliams, age 34, of Levittown, PA, was sentenced to 16 months to 8 years in a state correctional facility, a fine of $2,200 and a driver’s license suspension for a duration to be determined by PennDOT for the crimes of Burglary, 2 counts of Theft, Driving While License is Suspended or Revoked and Simple Assault.  Between April 16, 2021, and May 11, 2021, McWilliams entered several cabins located in Porter and Blooming Grove Townships, taking numerous items, including two shotguns without the permission of the owners.  On June 22, 2021, the state police were dispatched to the Pike County Correctional Facility where a fight occurred between McWilliams and another inmate where McWilliams kicked and struck the individual with a closed fist causing injury.

Paul Joseph Oswald, age 36, of Dingmans Ferry, PA, was sentenced to 10 months to 23 ½ months in the Pike County Jail, followed by 1 year of probation and a fine of $1,000 for the crimes of Flight to Avoid Apprehension, Resisting Arrest, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Simple Assault.  On September 19, 2021, the state police traveled to Oswald’s residence in Delaware Township to serve Oswald with an arrest warrant.  Oswald fled into the woods.  Oswald resisted being taken into custody.  Once apprehended, Oswald was found in possession of Cocaine.  On September 15, 2021, during a domestic dispute at a residence in Delaware Township, Oswald kicked in the door of a residence causing fear of serious injury by the resident.

Jamel S. Grant, age 33, of Hawley, PA, was sentenced to 72 hours to 6 months in the Pike County Jail, a fine of $1,000 and a driver’s license suspension of 12 months for the crime of Driving Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance.  The state police pulled over Grant on January 15, 2020, along I-84 in Blooming Grove Township for tinted windows.  Upon speaking with Grant, the trooper detected the smell of Marihuana.  Grant stated that he had smoked Marihuana prior to driving.  Field Sobriety Tests showed impairment and a blood test confirmed the presence of THC in Grant’s blood.

Justin Joseph Gessner, age 31, of Levittown, PA, was sentenced to 16 months to 5 years in a state correctional facility and fined $1,050 for the crime of Burglary and 2 counts of Theft.  Between April 16, 2021, and May 11, 2021, Gessner entered numerous privately owned cabins in Porter and Blooming Grove Townships without the cabin owners’ permission, taking various items.

Wendy L. Keithline, age 37, of Jermyn, PA, was sentenced to 2 days to 5 days in the Pike County Jail, fined $300 and had her driver’s license suspended for 12 months for the crimes of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Driving While Operating Privileges are Suspended or Revoked.  The state police stopped Keithline when they observed her traveling along I-84 in Dingman Township with a cracked windshield on June 12, 2021.  A consent to search the vehicle revealed two smoking apparatuses and a vape pen.  Keithline was also found to be driving on a suspended license.
