MILFORD, PA — Pike County District Attorney Raymond J. Tonkin announced the following criminal sentences were issued by Pike County Court of Common Pleas President Judge Gregory Chelak:

Jennifer Erin Brunning, age 29, of Matamoras, PA, was sentenced to 6 months of probation and fined $300 for the crime of Possession of a Controlled Substance.  The Eastern Pike Regional Police were dispatched to a hotel room in Westfall Township for a domestic dispute on January 17, 2021, where Brunning was found in possession of Heroin.

Kevin N. Abdool, age 39, of Mount Pocono, PA, was sentenced to 90 days to 5 years in the Pike County Jail, fined $2,500 and had his driver’s license suspended for 18 months for the crimes of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol or a Controlled Substance and Driving While Operating Privilege is Suspended or Revoked.  

Colin John Vanjahnke, age 37, of Dingmans Ferry, PA was sentenced to 5 days to 6 months in the Pike County Jail, fined $1,000 and had his driver’s license suspended for 12 months for the crime of Driving Under the Influence.  The state police responded to Overbrook Road in Dingman Township on August 19, 2018, where Vanjahnke had crashed his vehicle into a pole.  Vanjahnke advised the trooper that he takes Suboxone.  Vanjahnke refused to submit to a test.

Carlos Serrano, age 40, of Hawley, PA, was sentenced to 6 months to 18 months in the Pike County Jail and fined $1,000 for the crimes of Simple Assault and Recklessly Endangering Another Person.  The state police responded to an anonymous report of an assault on a child on May 17, 2021, at a residence in Blooming Grove Township where Serrano pinned a child against a wall, struck the child and forced a sock into his mouth to quiet him, knowing the child had an existing medical condition.

Anthony J. Santarelli, age 50, of Jessup, PA, was sentenced to 1 month to 6 months in the Pike County Jail and fined $3,300 for the crime Unlawful Killing or Taking of Big Game, and the Summary Offenses of Unlawful Killing or Taking of Big Game, Unlawful Devices and Methods, 2 counts of Tagging and Reporting Big Game Kills, Damage to Property, Loaded Firearms in Vehicle, Regulations and Safety Zones.  On January 16, 2021, Santarelli killed two antlerless deer from his vehicle with a crossbow and without a license to do so at a residential community in Lackawaxen Township.  

Jaime L. Stickelmyer, age 36, of Honesdale, PA, was sentenced to 72 hours to 6 months in the Pike County Jail, fined $1,000 and had his driver’s license suspended for 12 months for the crime of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol or a Controlled Substance.  The state police encountered Stickelmyer parked along SR 6 in Shohola Township where she was acting in a dazed manner on March 1, 2021.  The smell of Marihuana was detected by the trooper and she was observed to have bloodshot eyes.  Field Sobriety Tests showed impairment and a blood test confirmed the presence of Amphetamine, THC and Methadone in her blood. 

Marc Kristian Corneille, age 43, of Bushkill, PA, was sentenced to 2 years of probation and fined $600 for the crimes of Simple Assault and Reckless Endangerment.  During a domestic dispute, Corneille struck a household member in the head and body multiple times and choked the person. 

Matthew F. Wishneski, age 54, of Tafton, PA, was sentenced to 12 months of probation and fined $800 for the crimes of Simple Assault and Disorderly Conduct.  On April 16, 2021, at a bar in Palmyra Township, Wishneski caused a disturbance, grabbed the neck of an individual causing injury and acted in a violent manner to the other business patrons.

Philip Michael Conklin, age 62, of Greentown, PA, was sentenced to 1 month to 6 months in the Pike County Jail, fined $1,000 and had his driver’s license suspended for 12 months for the crime of Driving Under the Influence.  The state police were dispatched to Stone Chair Trail in Greene Township on July 4, 2020, where Conklin’s vehicle was disabled.  Conklin admitted to the trooper that he had been drinking.  A breath test confirmed a blood alcohol content of .242%.

David M. Hibble, age 49, of Scranton, PA, was sentenced to 12 months of probation and fined $500 for the crime of Unsworn Falsification to Authorities.  While attempting to purchase a firearm in Blooming Grove Township on February 22, 2021, Hibble failed to disclose on the firearm application that he was convicted of Impersonating a Public Servant on May 5, 2005.

Michael J. Ferdinand, age 60, of Dingmans Ferry, PA, was sentenced to 6 months of probation and fined $500 for the crime of Unsworn Falsification to Authorities.  Ferdinand failed to disclose when completing his application to carry a firearm at the Pike County Sheriff’s Office on March 3, 2021, that he had been previously convicted of the crime of Possession of a Controlled Substance.
