HONESDALE, PA — The Wayne Highlands school board on May 21 honored three distinguished high-school seniors for their outstanding achievements.
“I would not be where I am today without the support of my parent and teachers,” she said.
Jillian plans to focus on biology pre-medicine at the University of Scranton with the goal of becoming an endocrinologist.
Rozalyn said, “I am blessed to have everyone by my side.”
She plans to attend Slippery Rock University, where she will major in health and physical education and continue to play field hockey.
“My time spent in band, chorus and musicals have led me to be a well-rounded student and have grown self-confidence throughout the years,” Danielle said. She plans to take a gap year and then attend college, majoring in musical theater.
Sophomore Cody Pollack gave an exceptional performance of “Sonatina for Tuba” at the May 21 meeting. He is being mentored by Betty Ann Robson, Honesdale High School’s instrumental music teacher, and the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA).
Cody represented Honesdale at the PMEA District Orchestra and Regional Orchestra.
“I’ve achieved dreams beyond my limit,” he said.
