I hope that...

The vaccine will bring the world the relief it seeks.

We stay “awakened” to our many privileges (white being only one of them).

Our government can rise to the many challenges it will face.

Everyone can find the patience to continue to wear masks, stay distanced or wait until next year to gather again.

The world will find a “new normal” that is kinder, more gracious and generous.

For these are the hopes that will make 2021 a better year for me.
