HONESDALE, PA — From parades, fireworks, to concerts in the park, just about all of Honesdale’s annual summer events were canceled this year due to COVID-19. At the offset of autumn, the Greater Honesdale Partnership chose modification over cancellation for the borough’s Harvest and Heritage Days event.
Over the holiday weekend, residents and visitors to downtown Honesdale wandered Main Street, checking out the shops, doing tastings of various foods and shopping at various upscale consignment furniture and couture clothing stores.
The event also had activities like blacksmithing and wood carving demonstrations, private hayrides, evening ghost tours, local musical performances and rides on the “Stourbridge Line’s Pumpkin Patch Express.”
