FORESTBURGH, NY — A benefit concert starring Sullivan County native and singer Patti Greco Sunshine will be held at 8 p.m. on Friday, September 22 at the Tavern at the Forestburgh Playhouse.
The concert will help raise funds for Catskill Animal Rescue (CARe), and audiences will hear jazz, cabaret and contemporary favorites.
CARe was established in May 2014 to address the critical lack of resources in Sullivan County for unwanted, neglected and abused animals. It is nonprofit and provides low-cost spaying/neutering, adoption services, public education, support for enforcement of cruelty laws and shelter for animals in need.
“We house dogs and cats that are mistreated, homeless or abandoned. We constantly need funds to care for the animals. We then try to find good fur-ever homes for our wonderful, warm furry friends,” said CARe board member Les Kristt.
Tickets cost $30/person and proceeds benefit CARe.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for dinner.
The tavern is located at 39 Forestburgh Rd.
