Fraud task force announces arrests

LIBERTY, NY — The Sullivan County Welfare Fraud Task Force has made the following arrests:

  • Marek Domarecki, 44, of Brooklyn was arrested for Petit Larceny, a Class A Misdemeanor. It is alleged that Domarecki stole $527 in SNAP benefits from the Sullivan County Department of Social Services by failing to report income and cash deposits into his personal bank account in the amount of $9,000 per day on multiple dates over a two-year period. Domarecki was processed and released on an appearance ticket to return to the Town of Liberty Court at a later date.
  • Rivkah Mosesson, 53, of Monroe was arrested and charged with the Class E Felony of Offering a False Instrument for Filing in the 1st Degree, and the Class D Felony of Welfare Fraud in the 3rd Degree. It is alleged that Mosesson received $8,903.88 in Public Assistance funds and SNAP benefits from the Sullivan County Department of Social Services while collecting unemployment insurance. Mosesson was processed and arraigned in the Town of Liberty Court and released on her own recognizance pending a future court date.
  • Alyssa M. Edelglass, 25, of Liberty was arrested for the Class E Felony of Grand Larceny in the 4th Degree. It is alleged that Edelglass stole $1,295 in SNAP benefits from the Sullivan County Department of Social Services by failing to report income from employment at a local business establishment. Edelglass was processed and released on an appearance ticket to return to the Town of Liberty Court at a later date.
  • Mayer Z. Grundwald, 35, of Monticello was arrested and charged with the Class E Felony of Offering a False Instrument for Filing in the 1st Degree, and the Class E Felony of Welfare Fraud in the 4th Degree. It is alleged that Grundwald stole $1,660 in SNAP benefits from the Sullivan County Department of Social Services by failing to disclose that he was in receipt of Unemployment Benefits from December 1, 2020 through September 30, 2021. Grundwald was released on an appearance ticket pending a future court date in the Town of Liberty Court.
  • Olivia L. Goggins, 42, of Loch Sheldrake was arrested for the Class E Felony of Offering a False Instrument for Filing and the Class A Misdemeanor of Welfare Fraud in the 5th Degree. It is alleged that Goggins stole $987 in SNAP benefits from the Sullivan County Department of Social Services by failing to disclose income. Goggins was processed and released on an appearance ticket pending a future appearance in the Town of Liberty Court.
