HONESDALE, PA — Wayne County District Attorney A.G. Howell announced the arrests of four Honesdale Borough residents after a search warrant was served at their residence. Charged were Joshua Jacob, age 22, Brittany Wormuth, age 25, Patricia Osczepinski, age 59 and Kaine Lupinski, age 20.

According to the criminal complaints filed by Wayne County Chief County Detective Peter Hower, a joint investigation by the Honesdale Borough Police Department and the Wayne County Detectives was initiated on October 14 , after a series of drug overdoses and drug activity were reported at a residence in the 200 block of Park Street in Honesdale Borough. Later that day, a search warrant was served at the residence by members of the Honesdale Borough Police Department, Wayne County Detectives, Wayne County Sheriffs and Wayne County Adult Probation. Numerous items of illegal controlled substances and drug paraphernalia were found during the search.

As a result, Joshua Jacob was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Brittany Wormuth was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.  Patricia Osczepinski was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.  Kaine Lupinski was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. They are scheduled to attend Central Court on November 25 at 10:15 am.

“Especially during this pandemic, we must continue to take a proactive approach to keep our communities safe and combat the sale and consumption of controlled substances.  Thank you to the collaborative efforts of the Honesdale Borough Police Department, the Wayne County Detectives, the Wayne County Sheriff Deputies, and the Wayne County Adult Probation," Howell said.
