Hello, November! The leaves are falling, the air is getting cooler, and thoughts of snow are starting to creep in.

Huge congratulations to all the Sullivan West sports teams that had a great season, whether making sectionals, playoffs or just bettering themselves as a team this season.

The boys’ varsity football team will be playing in a playoff game on Saturday, November 5 at 7 p.m. at the Lake Huntington fields.

Check the sports schedule at www.sectionixny.org/public/genie/1336/school/397/ online in case any changes have been made to the time or location.

Come out and support the Sullivan West Bulldogs!

River Rep Theatre will present Duncan MacMillan’s internationally acclaimed play “Every Brilliant Thing.” It opens Friday, November 4 at 7 p.m., with additional performances on Saturday, November 5 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, November 6 at 2 p.m., at the Delaware Valley Opera House.

Heart-wrenching and hilarious, “Every Brilliant Thing” tells the story of a girl confronted with her mother’s depression. At age seven, she begins writing a list of “every brilliant thing” that makes life worth living.

This magical, uplifting show is “one of the funniest plays you’ll ever see about depression—and possibly one of the funniest plays you’ll ever see, full stop,” according to the Guardian in the UK.

The Cochecton Youth Group is in the process of planning a trip to West Point for a football game. Be on the lookout for this event sign-up.

Save the date for the Delaware Youth Center annual holiday craft fair on Friday, November 25, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, visit delawareyouthcenter.org/holiday-craft-fair.

Learn to be empowered through proactive personal protection and defensive measure skills as Tsunami Self Defense Systems shatters the myth that you need to be a ninja to defend yourself properly. The event takes place at the Narrowsburg Union on Saturday, November 12 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

No experience is needed. This is not a martial arts class. It’s suitable for ages 14 and up.

Tickets include instruction and a boxed lunch from Bridge Street Bakehouse.

The session is presented by Robert Thomas of Tsunami Self Defense Systems, along with two of his female instructors.
