BETHEL, NY — Press release from Bethel Woods: After 14 years of service to Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, Darlene Fedun will transition from CEO to a consulting position on December 31, 2019, and Eric Frances will succeed Fedun as CEO.

Fedun ably served as Chief Executive Officer since 2008 and as a Trustee of the Board of Directors since 2012.  She will continue advising Bethel Woods in a consulting position on visioning, strategic planning, organizational development and community enrichment.

“As an instrumental voice that shaped Bethel Woods’ mission, vision, and programming since Darlene began at the Center in 2006, we are fortunate to retain her involvement and guidance as Bethel Woods navigates its way into the future.  We are extremely grateful to Darlene for superb leadership and salute her as she embarks on this promising next chapter of her life,” said Alan Gerry, Chairman of Bethel Woods’ Board of Directors.

“I am pleased that Eric Frances has accepted his well-deserved promotion and have great confidence in his success as CEO.  Eric has been the Chief Financial Officer and General Manager of Bethel Woods since 2006.  He has worked alongside Darlene for the past 14 years, and has been an integral part of the senior management team that molded the success of Bethel Woods,” Gerry continued.

Frances will have day-to-day responsibility for all departments within the organization, and will report to the Board of Trustees. “I am convinced that Eric will provide the leadership and vision to ensure that Bethel Woods thrives for many years ahead.  Please join me in wishing Darlene and Eric much success in their new roles,” Gerry added.
