Fatal fire investigation

MOUNT PLEASANT, PA -- The Office of the Wayne County Coroner was dispatched at 7:13 p.m. on December 20 to a home on Great Bend Turnpike in Mount Pleasant Township. The 911 caller reported a structure fire in the residence at 51 Great Bend Turnpike and an unresponsive adult male in the home.

Edward R. Howell, Wayne County Coroner pronounced Michael T. Fortuner, Jr., 68, of Pleasant Mount dead at the scene, inside the home at 8:30 p.m.

More information will be released as this death investigation continues in Wayne County.
