JEFFERSONVILLE, NY — Artist Maya Shari will debut an exhibition of her work at Ratty Books from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 3.
Shari’s whimsical illustrations explore the enchanted world of fantasy, magic and imagination in watercolor with pen and ink.
The exhibition will feature 17 pieces; inspiration is drawn from nature, old-world fairy tales, dreams and animals.
“This collection represents the joy of imagination and whimsy, no matter at what age,” she said. How did the frog find the wizard? What special powers does the unicorn have? We’ll never know if we don’t look deep inside and ask, and if we’re lucky, a story will emerge.”
Ratty Books is located at 4893 Rte. 52. There is no charge for admission. The exhibition will run until September 30.
