SEEDS seeks part-time executive director

HONESDALE, PA — SEEDS (Sustainable Energy Education and Development Support) announces its search for an executive director to fill the position currently held by Sandy Long. Due to family medical needs that have escalated unexpectedly, Long has found it necessary to step down.

“SEEDS is a highly effective organization with a decade of inspiring results that have forged the path for a more sustainable future in the Upper Delaware region,” said Long. “While I truly regret having to make this decision, my family’s situation requires my increased attention.”

The executive director (ED) will support SEEDS and its mission of promoting energy efficiency, renewable energy and sustainable living.

Delaware Highlands Conservancy accepting scholarship applications

UPPER DELAWARE RIVER REGION — The Delaware Highlands Conservancy is accepting applications from eligible high school seniors for the Delaware Highlands Conservancy/Yeaman Scholarship and the Vanessa Van Gorder Memorial Scholarship. Both scholarships are are for $1,000. 

The Yeaman Scholarship is given to a student planning to pursue a field in environmental studies in college. The Vanessa Van Gorder Scholarship is open to high school seniors pursuing a career in education or environmental stewardship.
