I’m writing to express gratitude to the excellent health care professionals at Grover M. Hermann Emergency Room in Callicoon, NY.
In July, the ER staff treated me for lacerations to my right hand from a dog bite. The staff was quick, competent, compassionate and the best.
I’m a dental hygienist and right-hand dominant. This was a terrible attack by an Alaskan malamute.
I saw a hand surgeon in New York City and he said, “You were extremely lucky.”
Without the great team at the Callicoon hospital, this could have been worse. I’m still healing and cannot treat dental hygiene patients yet.
Our community is fortunate to have such a dedicated team of health care professionals. I for one am forever grateful.
