MILFORD, PA — A Pike County jury rendered a guilty verdict in a recent trial over a drug delivery that resulted in death. The jury found Lisa Schmidt guilty of three felony charges, including delivery of a controlled substance resulting in death. Schmidt faces a maximum sentence of up to 40 years in prison.
The original investigation began in November 2017 with the overdose death of Jennifer Bosch in Westfall Township. After Eastern Pike Regional Police Department originally responded to the scene, the Pike County District Attorney’s Office Criminal Investigation Division joined the investigation.
Detectives joined forces with Pennsylvania State Police investigators who were investigating two other overdose deaths in Pike County. After a joint investigation, investigators arrested three individuals, two of whom plead guilty and were sentenced to state prison sentences.
