A viewing will be held Thursday, May 18 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Hessling Murray Funeral Home, 438 Main St. in Honesdale, PA, and a funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 19 at 10 a.m. at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 314 Chestnut Ave. in Hawley, PA. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Honesdale.

Donald J. Matthews

Donald J. Matthews, 76, of Honesdale, PA, passed away May 6, 2023 at home. Donald was born November 6, 1946 in Carbondale, PA. A memorial service was held May 13 at the Central United Methodist Church in Honesdale. Interment with military honors followed in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Honesdale.

Martha J. Thompson, 89, of Honesdale, PA, passed away May 12, 2023 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale. Martha was born April 4, 1934 in Wilkensburg, PA. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, May 30 at 10 a.m. at the Tabernacle Bible Church, 455 Grove St. in Honesdale. The family will receive friends and relatives on May 30 from 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the church. Private graveside services will be held in Willow View Cemetery in Clifford, PA.

Irene Marion Ruth (Conklin) Tice, 87, of Greenville Township, NY, passed away May 14, 2023 at home. Irene was born March 31, 1936 in Middletown, NY. Funeral services were held May 16 at Gray-Parker Funeral Home in Port Jervis, NY.
