BEACH LAKE AND MILFORD, PA — The winners have been announced in this summer’s photo contest, sponsored by the Delaware Highlands Conservancy (DHC).
An exhibition of the winning photographs will be on view at the ARTery Gallery in Milford. An opening reception will be held Saturday, November 9 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The photo contest, titled “Confluence: Land, Water, Wildlife,” called for photos in five categories: landscape, wildlife, macro, water and the Van Scott Nature Reserve; there was also a youth category for photographers under age 18.
The winners are as follows:
Landscape: The winner is April Richling (Honesdale, PA); the runners-up are Jeff Sidle (Beach Lake, PA) and Eric Baylin (North Branch, NY)
Wildlife: The winner is Kathleen Colligan (Beach Lake, PA); the runners-up are Kathleen Colligan and Barbara Carpenito (Beach Lake, PA).
Water: The winner is Beth Baylin (North Branch, NY); the runners-up are Roger Gottlieb (Port Jervis, NY) and April Richling (Honesdale, PA).
Macro: The winner is Meagan Hill (Beach Lake, PA); the runners-up are Milicent Wightman (Beach Lake, PA) and Kathe Williams (Lake Ariel, PA).
Van Scott Nature Reserve: The winner is Claire Shickora (Lords Valley, PA); the runner-up is Alexandra Santo (Lake Ariel, PA).
Youth: The winner is Owen Doyle, age 13; the runners-up are Payton Darcy, Lily Eltz and Micah Baillie Feinblatt.
The People’s Choice winner and the conservancy staff pick is Eileen Chorba (Beach Lake, PA).
The exhibition at the gallery will be on view until Monday, December 9. Also available will be a display of artwork created by ARTery member artists.
