ELDRED, NY — Sullivan Public will host a class on making holiday cards using collage techniques, conducted by artist in residence Kristin Texeira on Saturday, November 9 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
You’ll create a set of 10 cards that you can send to your loved ones over the holidays. Workshop provisions include 10 4-inch-by-6-inch blank cards and envelopes, colorful clippings from 1970s National Geographic magazines, confetti, tiny pompoms, old elementary school science books, old yearbooks, colored paper, drawing utensils, scissors, glue, colorful tape and probably one Ferrero Rocher.
Texiera has shown work in many solo and group exhibitions in New York, Boston, Portland, Italy and France, among others. She has held residencies around the world including Google’s Artist in Residency in 2020.
The workshop is limited to 20 participants.
The class costs $100 per person.
