COCHECTON, NY — Nelson Lopez, 39, of Cochecton, NY, was arrested at 3:30 p.m. on July 11 for repeated domestic violence and strangulation.

The NYS Police at Liberty reports that Lopez was charged with the following:

• Felony Aggravated Family Offense-More Than 1 Offense Within 5 Years;

• Misdemeanor Assault 3rd Degree: With Intent To Cause Physical Injury; and

• Misdemeanor Criminal Obstruction of Breathing/Blood Circulation-Block Nose/mouth.

Lopez was released on $1,000 cash bail.
