DINGMANS FERRY, PA — All are invited to Earth Day at the Pocono Environmental Education Center (PEEC), observed on Saturday, April 27 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
You can learn about sustainable living, renewable energy, organic gardening, recycling and more. Locally made crafts, natural beauty products and environmentally friendly household items will be offered for sale.
Kids will love the interactive exhibits, activities and games, such as arts and crafts, field games and a live-animal presentation. There will be live music, canoeing, face painting and tie-dying.
In addition to the vendor area, several environmental organizations and nonprofits will be on site, discussing their causes and volunteer opportunities. You can sign up to plant trees, clean up litter, or participate in community science projects to help protect the planet.
Admission costs $5 per car.
