Carol T. (Tiedemann) Creamer, 86, a lifelong resident of Narrowsburg, passed away on June 22, 2023 at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale, PA, surrounded by her family. Carol was the daughter of the late William and Thelma (Benson) Tiedemann. She was born April 1, 1937 on Cackletown Road in Narrowsburg, NY.
Carol was a retired Registered Nurse. She was a graduate of Mount Sinai School of Nursing.
Carol was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Narrowsburg, where she volunteered in many ways. She was a member of the Tusten Historical Society and one of the founding members of the Tusten Volunteer Ambulance Corp.
A family statement reads: “Carol was a loving, caring and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and loved nothing more than spending time with them. She loved living on the Delaware River and enjoyed watching the wildlife there. She will be forever cherished in our hearts and missed by all.”
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Bernard Creamer; six children: Susan Amenta and her husband Robert of New City, NY; John Creamer and his wife Marianne of Warrington, PA; Debra DiFranco and her partner Neftali Fernandez; William Creamer and his wife Koren of Cortland Manor, NY; Melinda Card and her husband Daniel of Honesdale; Steven Creamer of Honesdale; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister Joan Hundt of Massapequa, NY; and niece Cindy Wynn.
Carol is predeceased by her brother-in-law James Hundt and her nephew Robert Hundt.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 29 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church 31 Erie Ave. Narrowsburg. Burial of Carol’s cremains will be in Glen Cove Cemetery, Narrowsburg. Rev. Phyllis Haynes will officiate the services.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Carol to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 31 Erie Ave., Narrowsburg, NY 12764.
