JERRY C. STEVENS
My name is Jerry Stevens. I am a lifelong resident of the Town of Neversink. I want to help make my hometown be a better place to live, which is why I am running for the office of supervisor in the Town of Neversink. I was a union carpenter for 18 years. I have spent the last 20 years as an educator at the Tri-Valley Central School District in many different roles. I have coached numerous sports teams at Tri-Valley Central School District during this time. I have built many strong bonds, with many of the students I have coached, many of which continue to this day. My post secondary education consists of Associate of Arts in LiberalArts/Elementary Education from SUNY Sullivan, Bachelor of Science in Education from SUNY New Paltz, and Master of Science in Education in Adolescence Education. Prior administrative and community experience includes membership on the Town of Neversink Board of Assessment Review, coordinator of Bear Cub Basketball, Tri-Valley Little League,Tri-Valley Youth Football, member of the C.A.S.T. Booster Club and my current position as the chair of the Town of Neversink Democratic Committee, which includes membership on the Sullivan County Democratic Committee’s Executive Committee. I believe the town needs to be all-inclusive and as a coach I have demonstrated my ability to work with many types of people from many different backgrounds, a skill that will certainly come in handy as town supervisor. I would appreciate your vote.
