TOWN OF BETHEL, NY — The Bethel Heritage Trail, part of the town’s celebration of the 50th anniversary of the 1969 Woodstock Music and Arts Fair, was launched with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on August 12. The trail is a permanent outdoor photo display in locations throughout the town. Each display has a description and interesting facts about the area.
According to the town website, “[Woodstock] is seen as a major political and cultural event in the history of the United States. The project commemorates and memorializes the fact that this event took place in the Town of Bethel.”
