Posted

HONESDALE, PA — On Thursday, June 22, the Wayne County Dairy Princess and the Jr. Promoters will hold the annual Ice Cream Sundae competition against the Wayne County Commissioners.

At 10:30 a.m., the dairy court will meet with the commissioners, who will proclaim June to be Dairy Month, and July as Ice Cream Month for the county.

The court will present the commissioners with local dairy products, and a member will give a speech.

The ice cream sundae competition will start about 11:30 a.m. It will be held on the front lawn of the Wayne County Courthouse Honesdale. If it rains, the competition will be moved to the Park Street Complex cafeteria.

After the competition, the dairy court will socialize with the public. Ice cream sundaes will be available.

Pennsylvania’s alternate dairy princess Natalie Grumbine will appear too.

The public and community are welcome to join the fun. The competition will also be streamed on Facebook Live on the Wayne County Dairy Promotion page.
