‘A bake-less sale is on the way’

Hello, I hope you are all doing well and enjoying this lovely weather. It’s that time of year when giving to others is important to our community.  If you would like to make a donation to the Grover M. Hermann Hospital Auxiliary in Jerry’s Yavarkovsky memory, please make your check out to Grover M. Hermann Hospital Auxiliary and mail to Barbara Donatelli P.O. Box 66 Callicoon, NY 12723

Here is a cute little announcement: “A bit of news we have today—a bake-less bake sale is on the way. In these busy days, now who could bake? Pies or cookies, or even a cake? You’d be surprised if you count the cost of material, heat and time you’ve lost. Baking for sales is extra work, yet nobody really wishes to shirk. So, we’ve thought of a plan that’s truly grand and feel quite sure you’ll understand. In an envelope, please put the price of a pie, cake or something nice. Without fuss or bother, you’ve done your part. We’re sure you’ll give with a willing heart. This is the end of our little tale, wishing success to our bake less bake sale.” Because of the COVID-19 virus mandates we are to follow, the Lake Huntington Presbyterian Church Ladies Aid has not been able to hold its annual fundraisers (penny socials, Election Day bake sale/raffles) this year. We thank you for your donations. Please make your checks out payable to the Ladies Aid Society and mail them to treasurer Grace Cole at 407 Atco Rd., Beach Lake, PA 18405.
