Free simple will for area first responders and military personnel

MONTICELLO, NY — Law firm Jacobowitz and Gubits is offering a free simple will to active and retired first responders and military personnel in Sullivan County.

“We understand how important first responders and the military are to our community,” said managing partner Michele Babcock. “They continue to risk their lives for our safety every day, and this is something we can do to show our appreciation to them and their families. This is our sixth consecutive year of honoring our area first responders with this service.”

When a person in New York passes away without a will, state law determines how the person’s assets are distributed. Having a legal will in place is the only way to ensure that a person’s wishes will be carried out upon their death.

Area first responders (police officers, fire personnel, EMTs) and military personnel interested in having the firm prepare a simple will should contact them by phone at 845/764-8828 or through the website at www.jacobowitz.com.

The one-time offer is valid through September 30. Proof is required.

For more information, see www.jacobowitz.com or call 845/778-2121.
