9/11 memorial service at the Monticello firehouse

MONTICELLO, NY — The Monticello Fire Department invites other fire companies, EMS agencies, veterans, law enforcement and the general public to a service commemorating the 20th anniversary of the September 11 attacks.

The service will be held on Saturday, September 11 and begins at 7 p.m. It will be held at the Monticello firehouse on Richardson Avenue in Monticello.

James Farrell will be the guest speaker.

The department asks that attendees wear a mask and abide by all CDC safety guidelines.

Free simple will for area first responders and military personnel

MONTICELLO, NY — Law firm Jacobowitz and Gubits is offering a free simple will to active and retired first responders and military personnel in Sullivan County.

“We understand how important first responders and the military are to our community,” said managing partner Michele Babcock. “They continue to risk their lives for our safety every day, and this is something we can do to show our appreciation to them and their families. This is our sixth consecutive year of honoring our area first responders with this service.”
